Originally from Chicago but currently residing in the seaside community of Santa Barbara, California, Lee Coulter creates sculptures in bronze, brass, copper and steel. His roots from metal working stem from his days as a jeweler in California. In 1990 Lee moved to Switzerland and opened his own studio in Zurich where he worked on marble and alabaster sculptures. There he had the opportunity to travel, meet and work with several European artists. Returning to California in 1991, Lee eventually went back working on metal sculptures and he became an exhibitor at the Santa Barbara Art Show.
